RL has been keeping my pretty busy, but I have managed to have time to shop the Fifty Linden Friday specials as well as picking up the Monthly Midnight Madness gifts and add-ons. I have also been pretty good about filing the new additions to my inventory where they belong and gotten them added into my CTS Wardrobe.

I just finished doing the Flawless Collective Game Show Quest on the Flawless Sim Flawless/98/154/28 which was different and fun. It takes about 45 minutes and is HUD driven. You go from location to location, following clues and answering a question or two at each store. At the end, you receive 14 prizes. The stores participating are: Firelight, 1313 Mockingbird Lane, Albino Peacock, AppleTini, Baubles, ChicModa, Entice, I.M. Collection, Narcisse, ORQUIDEA, Salty, Shady Ladies, TS, ad Zo Awesum.

Speaking of 14 prizes, I need to go file those away and put them in my wardrobe!

Subscription Boxes

I typically get both Deco(c)rate and Luxe Box subscription boxes. I am working on my SL decorating skills and Deco(c)rate gives me many options to work with. This photo includes the small Fancy Table by BackBone, the Glam Wish Set by Serenity Style, the Vintage rotary phone & table, and the Audrey Ottoman by MudHoney.

LuxeBox usually has a variety of items ranging from hair and clothes to buildings and furniture. This photo includes the My place Pergola by Ariskea (I added on the Laurel Window Blind by Sway's to close off the back) the Top knot babe hair by Besom, the Payton Top by Foxes, the Vandi Skirt by Decoy and the Pointsettia boots by Empire.

This photo again includes the My place Pergola by Ariskea (with the added Laurel Window Blind by Sway's from a previous Fifty Linden Friday), the Control hair by Lamb, and the Taylor Velvet Dress from Jeune by Rowne.

The White Leather Pouf by Pewpew! (this includes 51 animations with sits and dances for female, male, and couples) is from the January 2018 Deco(c)rate.

Luxe Box
You can see part of the lights on the My place Pergola by Ariskea. Also shown is the royal cardigan by ISON and a different color of the Vandi skirt by Decoy.

Deco(c)rate
The Daybed Claire is by Chez Moi. There are multiple animations and you can change the color of the curtain (inside and out) as well as the cushions and pillows.

In this photo you can see the two black chairs which are the Champagne Flute Chairs, the Champagne Patio Palm, and the Champagne Mirror (above the fireplace) by Cheeky Pea. The Audrey Sconces on either side of the fireplace and the Audrey Vase on the mantle are all by MudHoney. The Circular Sectional Sofa (only two of the five pieces) and the Circular Pattern Rug are all by Convair Design. All of these pieces are in the January 2018 Deco(c)rate.

Happy New Year!

I really don't do new year resolutions, but I do try to improve on personal goals I have for myself.

In RL I had been doing a pretty good job with eating healthier and getting away from processed foods and sugar. That slacked off a little during the holidays, but it also helped me realize I feel much better when I eat better.

In SL I have been working on getting my inventory under control which was coming along well until advents and holiday hunts and things happened. I spend more time than I would like working on getting and keeping things organized, but not as much time as I would like exploring new places and working on my blog. That is one thing I plan to work on for this year. I have a hard time deciding what to blog about so I need to do some thinking as to what direction I want to go with this and focus on one thing at a time. Hopefully that will give me enough direction to maintain a more consistent routine.

Happy New Year and best wishes to everyone in reaching the goals we set for ourselves!

Strawberry Singh's #SecondLifeChallenge

I have been following Strawberry Singh's blog/vlog since I came back into Second Life in December 2016. When I saw her #SecondLifeChallenge, I decided I would participate.

Here are seven facts about my Second Life:
  1. My Second Life Fact #1: Even though my avatar is over 10 years old now, I only logged in occasionally when I had some extra time and was bored in RL resulting in logging in sporadically and sometimes not at all for months at a time. A little over 9 months ago, I was looking for a get away from RL stress and started coming into Second Life again and I have been logging in daily ever since.
  2. My Second Life Fact #2: I enjoy doing hunts. I mainly like the hunts that have clues you need to figure out in order to find the object. I'm not as disciplined as I should be about organizing all of the prizes once I have them. I do throw them into a folder for that particular hunt, but sometimes don't open them right away.
  3. My Second Life Fact #3: I love to explore in Second Life. I truly enjoy seeing other people's creativity and appreciate them sharing their builds.
  4. My Second Life Fact #4: I almost had a job in Second Life, but once I filled out the application and realized one of the requirements involved using Skype for mandatory staff meetings, I chose not to apply. I am relatively shy in RL and it carries over to SL more than I would like it to. I am also very private and using a venue like Skype was more personal than I want it to be to maintain my anonymity, so I decided not to apply for the job.
  5. My Second Life Fact #5: I have a Linden Home and I also rent a parcel. I had a really pretty parcel on the ocean, but I quickly outgrew that and moved on to a bigger one where I learned how to terraform and how to build a platform to use for unpacking boxes and organizing my inventory. Now I am working on my skills in landscaping and decorating.
  6. My Second Life Fact #6: When I first came into Second Life, I used to enjoy dressing up and going dancing and talking to new people. I will still do that on occasion, but now I spend most of my time going to events (sometimes with hunts, sometimes with other activities or shopping), working on my inventory, exploring new places to shop, exploring new places to take pictures, and occasionally meeting new people.
  7. My Second Life Fact #7: I have been working at photography and blogging, but both are definitely a work in progress.

I'm Back!!

After coming into Second Life over ten years ago, I have finally settled in to a regular, daily appearance. Initially, I would log in regularly for maybe a week or two and then I would be out anywhere from a month to several months at a time. Usually my biggest interest was finding the monthly hunts and searching out the prizes. Some were very useful and sometimes, they just weren't my style. About six months ago, I came back and have been here daily ever since. I have upgraded to a mesh body and a bento head. In the brief time I have been back even hands have bento and the my Maitreya Lara body has been updated with bento hands. The new movements and dances available to us are such great improvements over what was available when I first joined. Things have changed so much in ten years!

I am currently working on cleaning out my inventory. For the items in my inventory I plan on keeping and using, I am using the CTS Wardrobe which gives me a web site option to visually see everything I have as well as a quick easy way to dress. This is such an improvement over having to try things on if you don't remember what they look like or the endless searching for that perfect outfit if you are invited to a party or outing! For the old things like clothes that I'm not quite ready to part with yet, I am using the Bright Inventory Box. This helps to clear out my inventory of those things so I can see what I have and need to organize into my Wardrobe. If I happen to need something, these boxes are searchable which is a handy feature! I am also boxing up all the old furniture and objects that have high LI or just aren't as good of quality as what is available to us now. It's kind of like my own time capsule :)  I also use the Inventory Box to box up the original box of my current items in case I need to rez a new copy for some reason. I know there are re-deliveries for most items, but I have been here long enough to know that sometimes stores close and some stores don't have an option for a re-delivery.

I have been watching a lot of vlogs which has sparked my interest in photography and blogging myself. This is my first attempt at blogging and I have also created a Flikr so I have somewhere to share my photos. Maybe when I get a chance I will upload the few old photographs I still have. I think I lost a lot of them over the years with dying computers and such before saving to the cloud was a safe way to keep these things. As my inventory gets cleaned up and organized so I can keep track of the new things I am getting, I am hoping to delve more into photography. I have found some nice stores with excellent quality clothes, hair, furniture and things so I will have plenty to share :)
